this week...

as much as i love them, i've decided to do away with my week in photos posts. they are just a little too repetitive for those of you who already follow me on instagram (@sian_lb) and i have a widgety-thing in the right hand bar >>> which shows my feed as well.

instead i've decided to do a little chatty post each sunday. i know wordy posts don't get that great a response in blogworld (i'm sure plenty have people have already given up on reading this) but i like the idea of having one day of the week where i just have a little chat with you guys. i'll keep them short and sweet, i promise.

"snoooooooooooooop"

i went out in oxford last night for two of my friends birthdays, we had grape flavoured shisha (cue me pretending i'm snoop dogg) & drank £3.50 cocktails (surprisingly not too bad!). it's nights like last night that make summer uh-mazinggg. my new job is also going really well, the only downside (and it's a very uncomfortable one) is that i'm stuck for 8 hours a day in a metal-roofed warehouse with air con about as effective as someone breathing on you... not cool, literally.

i went to see batman on wednesday, anyone seen it? i'm not a massive fan of comic/superhero culture but i LOVE the batman films and was so excited to get to the cinema to see this one. obviously i had to spare a thought for my beloved heath (forever heartbroken) but the film was amazing from start to finish. if you've seen it let me know below what you thought! and if you haven't seen it then i only have one word of forewarning for you... if you thought batman's voice was funny... wait til you hear bane's.

hope you've all had a lovely weekend, sian xx

  5. I love wordy posts! It's a shame they don't get a good response in the blogworld. Glad you had a great night in Oxford and your job is going well. Oh no! Can't you ask anyone if they can improve the air con or anything? I'm not a fan of comic / superhero things either, but with everyone going on about it, I'm really tempted to see if it lives up to the hype.

    1. i love them too! but i guess they're a little time consuming for some people. i think the air con is stuck as it is, which sucks! i feel like i'm losing weight everytime i'm at work just because i'm so hot all the time! yes i'd definitely advise batman!! all the batman films are incredible and i'm not into action/superhero stuff at all usually xx

  8. Hahaaaa! Check you out with the shisha pipe! I always stick to citrus flavours 'cause shisha makes me sick, like literally! Ha.

I'm not a big fan of super heroes either, but I've always held a special place in my heart for Batman <3 The best bit is that he has no special powers, BOOM. xo

  12. lol you totes look like snoop, for reals. I saw TDKR and it was amazing. Bain terrified me and then it reminded me why I'm not attracted to muscular guys esp during the first Batman vs Bain fight scene. God that was painful to watch. I've seen it twice now. Still amazing. I'm gonna link you to this image and hope you lol as hard as I did when I first saw it.

    1. haha i thought so too. yeah that was horrible, i don't even see how a human would live through that haha. i usually like tom hardy i hadn't realised that he was so muscly, bane didn't look human! i'd love to go and see it again. OMG that picture hahahah, alfred was such a loser in this film xx

    2. I know right? Bain broke his back in like one move. Cringe. I'm not even gonna lie, I teared up when Alfred was like "I've failed, you. I failed all of you." over the graves. I totally got where he was coming from but the image sums him up in the entire film. What is up with way the artist drew Alfred's arms? Like how do they work?

    3. yeah it was definitely heart warming when he sees bruce wayne at the end! so emotional haha. well i'm imagining they are like pieces of spaghetti haha that's what makes the drawing so amazing. it reminds me of adventure time if you've ever seen that? xx
